Please make sure all tags are attached securely to each item without causing damage for the next owner. If a tag is not properly attached you run the risk of it coming off of an item and potentially losing that sale.
We have found that for the majority of things either safety pins or clear wide tape are the best ways to attach tags.
Examples:
Clothing - Safety pinned
High Heel - Taped to bottom
Tennis Shoe - Safety pinned through lace hole
Lamp - Taped to bottom of base
Throw Pillow - Safety pinned;
Hanging/Tagging Clothing:
When hanging clothes your hangar hooks should face toward the left (looking like a question mark). It is good to give your item a gentle tug once it's hung to assure it on securely on the hangar. If you are able to easily pull if off, you'll need to secure it with a safety pinto the hangar. Clothes that easily come off tend to wind up on the floor during shopping, which can lead to dirty items that won't sale.
Tags~Should be secured to the top right of the garment (ex: right chest/shoulder area on a top) so that it is easily viewed while shopping.
Delicate Garments: For these items you may pin your tag inside on the items tag, so as not to damage the fabric.
Keep in mind while entering and tagging that: items must not be soiled, stained, have a strong odor, and any products with significant wear, damage, thinning, pilling, stretched elastic., etc.. may be rejected from the sale.
When you are entering your items you will be given drop down options for the categories and sizes, as well as an empty description box that must be filled in manually. It is important to remember when describing your items to be as descriptive as possible.
Occasionally tags will come off of things, and without a good description we may not be able to match up the correct belonging and tag. If the tag and item can not be matched, it could result in a potential loss of sale for you - and loss of sale means no money made for you on that item and we know that you don't want that!!
We recommend adding the name of the brand, the color, and any easily identifiable feature/embellishments.
Examples of POOR descriptions:
Red Shirt
Short Heels
Ring and Necklace
Lamp
Examples of GOOD descriptions:
Sonoma Long Sleeve Red Shirt with Ruffles
Closed Toe Burgundy Suede Pumps
Matching James Avery Gold Heart Engraved Ring and Necklace
Brown Threshold Lamp with Striped Shade
These example tags both have decent descriptions.
